Miss Desert Sun 2003
The first annual Miss Desert Sun Beauty Pageant and webmaster getaway weekend was hosted by Net Management Services, at the Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, September 12-14, 2003. Sponsored by CCBill, Paycom, NO Credit Card, and National Net, the premier event kicked off with an evening reception party at the beautiful waterfall bar. Fifty stunning contestants from all over the United States were introduced to the top webmaster getaway winners, awarded their invitations at the Florida Internext Expo, and VIP guests.
The weekend activities made this webmaster getaway the ultimate escape, rather than the typical working conference, but even with all the diversions and distractions some business meetings were still successful. Mornings began with breakfast in the Squash Blossom Café, followed by golf or relaxation in the picturesque two-acre swimming pool complex. Lunches were taken at the Water Garden Café or poolside, and the Hyatt staff was amazing. There was a cocktail hour every afternoon, a trip to the Barcelona Nightclub on Saturday and a magnificent Tiki Dinner in The Palm Grove on Sunday, where the winners were awarded their trophies and prizes. Contestants vied for Miss Congeniality, Best Legs, and the top five finalist positions. $20,000.00 in prizes were presented - to a spectacular field of competitors.
