brick-and-mortar world. Electronic Group, a global corporation based
in Barcelona, Spain, has proven that paying attention to those often

Klixxx Magazine caught up with Bjorn Skarlen; the Director of Business

Kath:: How long has Electronic Group been involved in
the adult side of the Internet industry?
Bjorn: First established in 1996, Electronic Group has built
a reputation on being one of the most innovative and reliable adult
operators on the Internet, with a background including more than
20 years of experience in the premium rates telephone billing market.
Kath:: Wow, so I guess you've got some experience with
customer service, satisfaction and operating a business both on
the Web and off! How has your company survived through all of the
legal and political issues that have plagued the adult industry?
What changes - if any - have you had to make in order to adapt accordingly?
Bjorn: Electronic Group, from the beginning, has always maintained
a long-term view with regard to our business practices. Managing
a global billing network is complex - the only way to assure that
our network remains open and functioning properly, is by following
and adhering to all the rules and regulations in the markets where
we operate, and by adapting to all changes, as applicable.
Kath:: Working successfully within the very industry that
gave birth to such viral marketing techniques as circle jerks, mousetrapping
and blind links, Electronic Group seems to emerge as a trendsetter
- one that advocates catering to the customer's needs to get the
sale, rather than relying on deceitful tactics. How does your approach
give you and your webmaster clients the advantage over other "less
savoury" business models?
Bjorn: Most of those marketing practices you mentioned belong
to another sector of the adult marketplace. Our company maintains
a deep respect for our end users, offering terms and agreements
and content in the end users' local language whenever possible.
We pride ourselves on having one of the best and most exclusive
members' areas in the market, with more than 200 live girls for
our end users to enjoy. At any one time our network runs up to 60-percent
